Now for a surprising fact: the schools are genuinely excellent. Royston has some of the best primary schools in the county. People move here specifically for the education. They don’t talk about the cave; they talk about Ofsted ratings.
There is a secondary school, Meridian School, that is constantly “good” or “outstanding.” It produces polite, clever children. It also produces a lot of teenagers who hang around the Co-op car park. That’s nature balancing itself out.
