So, when were the Great Pyramids of Egypt built, exactly? Well, the largest pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Giza, is believed to have been built around 2580 BC during the Old Kingdom period. That's a pretty specific date, right?
But here's the thing: the pyramids weren't built overnight. It's estimated that it took thousands of skilled laborers around 20 years to build the Great Pyramid of Giza. To put that into perspective, that's like building a modern-day skyscraper... but with ancient tools!
The pyramid builders were incredibly skilled, using simple yet effective tools made of copper and stone to construct these massive structures. It's mind-boggling to think about how they were able to move and place the huge stone blocks into position with such precision. I mean, have you ever tried to build something with LEGO blocks? It's hard enough with modern tools!
