Here’s the golden rule: Bleach kills parvo. Nasty stuff? Yes. Effective? Absolutely. But you can’t just pour it everywhere, or you’ll end up with a dead white lawn.
Mix one part bleach to 30 parts water. That’s about half a cup of bleach per gallon of water. Put on some rubber gloves (the yellow kind that make you feel invincible). Then, spray or mop this solution onto any hard surfaces: patios, kennels, concrete, or sidewalk cracks. Let it sit for ten minutes. That’s the magic number. Parvo hates a long bleach bath party.
What about the grass? Well, you can’t really bleach the lawn unless you want a desert. For grass, you need a different trick.
