Is "sauce greatm8 animation" a specific video?
No. It is a genre of short, surreal animations and the phrase used to request them. There is no single "original" video.
Do I need to be a professional animator?
Absolutely not. The trend celebrates amateur, low-budget animation. Simple stick figures or basic shapes are perfectly acceptable.
Why is it called "sauce"?
In internet slang, "sauce" means "source." It's a request for the origin of a piece of content. "Greatm8" is a friendly, meme-y way of saying "great mate."
Can I use this phrase for other types of content?
Yes. The phrase has evolved to be used for any request for funny, obscure, or weird content, not just animations.
Is this trend only on TikTok?
No, but TikTok is the main platform. It also thrives on Discord, Reddit, and YouTube.
