As 3D animation tools become more accessible, insect MMD is likely to grow. The rise of virtual reality and augmented reality could open new possibilities. Imagine watching a giant beetle dance in your living room through AR. That is not far-fetched.
There is also potential for educational applications. Schools and museums could use insect MMD to teach students about insect behavior in an engaging way. The combination of accurate models and creative animation makes learning fun.
The community itself is evolving. More creators are sharing their work on global platforms, breaking out of the Japanese-language niche. English-language tutorials and resources are becoming more common. This will likely attract new creators from around the world.
