So, why do you need a bibliography in the first place? Well, it's not just because your teacher or professor is a stickler for the rules (although, let's be real, they probably are). It's actually to give credit where credit is due, and to show that you've done your due diligence in researching your topic. Plus, it helps you avoid plagiarism, which is like, a big no-no in the academic world.
Imagine you're at a dinner party, and someone asks you, "Hey, where did you get that amazing recipe for your famous chicken parmesan?" And you're like, "Uh, I found it on the internet... somewhere." Not cool, right? A bibliography is like saying, "Hey, I got this recipe from my buddy, Science Journal, and they got it from their buddy, Research Study, and so on." It's like a big game of academic telephone, but with sources instead of whispers.
Now, you might be thinking, "But, do I really need to include every single source I've used?" And the answer is, yes! Well, almost every single source - you don't need to include things like personal conversations or, you know, your cat's opinion on the matter (although, let's be real, your cat is probably a genius). But, if you've used it in your research, it should be in your bibliography.
