In July 2026, the Metropolitan Police charged Edwards with three counts of making indecent photographs of children. The charges cover a period from December 2026 to April 2026. He appeared in court in August 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
Here’s where it gets tricky: he’s out on bail, waiting for a trial scheduled for early 2026. So, right now, he’s walking around free. That’s not the same as being in prison, even if headlines scream “charged with making indecent images of children.” It’s like being in the penalty box before the referee blows the final whistle—your fate isn’t sealed yet.
Think of it this way: Imagine you’re accused of forgetting to return a library book, but the librarian needs to check the filing system first. You’re not in handcuffs; you’re just waiting for the evidence to be sorted out. Big difference, right?
