If you’re feeding only wet food, you’ll likely stick to two to three meals a day. Wet food spoils faster—leaving it out for more than an hour is basically a science experiment in bacteria growth. You don’t want a cat with a side of salmonella, trust me on this.
Most people (myself included) do a mix: wet food for the main meals and a small bowl of dry kibble for grazing. This gives your cat the moisture they desperately need (cats are notorious for ignoring water bowls) while letting you sleep in on weekends. Just remember: dry food should not be a free-for-all buffet—measure it or your cat will measure you with disdain.
