Amazon is doing the right thing by warning us, but honestly, the best defense is you. Be a little paranoid. It’s healthy. And if you absolutely need a cheap streaming stick, just buy the official Amazon Fire Stick or a Chromecast.
They’re not that expensive. And they won’t turn your living room into a hacker’s playground. (At least, I hope not.)
So go ahead. Stream your shows. Just don’t let the stick stream your secrets. Deal?
