Okay, there is one weird connection. Radio. Jeremy has a hugely popular show on BBC Radio 2. He takes calls about everything from parking tickets to Brexit.
Tim also had a show on BBC Radio 2. He made a sitcom called “I’m Sorry, I Haven’t a Clue” appearances. He was the master of the spontaneous pun.
But even here, they clash. Jeremy’s radio show is about listening. Tim’s comedy is about groaning. One makes you think. The other makes you slap your forehead.
The Ultimate Test
Want a quick test to tell them apart? Look at the props. If the person is holding a walking stick made of liquorice, it’s Tim.
If the person is holding a serious document about the NHS, it’s Jeremy. If they are cycling past a protest, that’s Jeremy. If they are pretending to be a pigeon, that’s Tim.
Tim once said, “I’d like to be a helicopter pilot, but I can’t stand the noise. And the spinning. And the people below.” Jeremy has never said that.
