Because we’ve become spoiled. We live in a world where Amazon tells us “next day” and we believe it. Then Good Friday arrives, and the whole machine stops. It’s like the Matrix glitches out for 24 hours.
You ordered a new phone case on Thursday. It’s not coming. You’re going to have to live dangerously with a cracked screen all weekend. Scary stuff, I know. You’ll survive.
What if I have a “tracked 24” package?
Doesn’t matter. Tracked 24 means “tracked and delivered within 24 working hours”. Good Friday is a non-working hour. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Your package is taking a vacation inside a sorting office in Milton Keynes.
It’s probably playing Uno with the other packages. Let it be. It’ll turn up on Tuesday, slightly crumpled but full of stories.
