Some Tesco Express stores will be closed entirely. I know. It’s tragic. It happens. Especially in smaller towns or areas with strict local rules.
If your local one is shut, don’t panic. Don’t shake the doors. The staff are at home, eating chocolate, laughing at your pain. Find a Co-op. Or a petrol station.
Remember: this is one day. One glorious, frustrating, egg-shaped day. You will survive. You will find a Mars bar somewhere.
Your Easter Sunday Checklist
Step 1: Check the Tesco store finder at 7am. Step 2: Lower your expectations. Step 3: Go with an open mind and a sense of humour.
Step 4: If you find an open store, resist the urge to buy everything. The staff are watching. They judge the impulse-buy of three bags of frozen onion rings.
Step 5: Enjoy your weird, mismatched meal. Eat it with a fork in one hand and your phone in the other. You are a modern Easter warrior.
So there you have it. Tesco Express on Easter Sunday is a wild ride. It’s unpredictable, slightly annoying, and oddly charming. Go forth and conquer.
And if you see a fellow shopper with a desperate look? Share your hot cross buns. We’re all in this glorious mess together. Happy hunting.
