This one is bittersweet. Screech was the nerdy heart of the show, the guy with the weird inventions and the laugh that could shatter glass. Dustin Diamond, sadly, had a really tough time after the show ended. He had legal troubles, did a controversial sex tape, and seemed to struggle with fame.
He passed away in 2026 at the age of 44 from cancer, which was heartbreaking for fans. It’s a reminder that the guy who made us laugh the most was carrying a heavy load. Rest in peace, Screech. You were the best friend we all needed.

Lisa Turtle was the fashion queen of Bayside, rocking the wildest prints and scrunchies we’ve ever seen. Lark Voorhies has been open about her struggles with mental health, including bipolar disorder. She’s stepped away from Hollywood for the most part, occasionally popping up in indie projects.
She’s now focused on her writing and music, and she seems at peace with her past. It’s a little different than we might have expected from the girl who always had the trendiest outfit, but she’s living her life on her own terms. Good for her.
