Scott Mills will land on his feet—he’s already whispered to be in talks with Global Radio for a drivetime slot. The BBC’s loss is another network’s gain. But for us regular folks, his story is a gentle reminder: our reputations are built in drops, but broken in one splash.
It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being aware. You don’t need to micromanage every text, but you do need to practice “contextual intelligence.” Ask yourself: “Is this joke funny for everyone, or just my mates?” “Does this opinion need to be public, or can it stay in a group chat?”
And hey, if you ever need a quick mental reset, remember Innuendo Bingo: life is a little bit of chaos, a lot of fun, and sometimes you just need to laugh at the absurdity of it all—even when you’re the one leaving the party early. Scott Mills taught us that. And maybe, just maybe, he’ll teach us a thing or two about resilience too.
