Even when a viewer’s intention is curiosity, searching for leaked clips can expose them to real harm. Fraudulent sites may mimic adult video hosting but use tactics like fake “verification” steps or drive-by downloads. In some cases, those pages also collect personal data.
There’s also the privacy angle. Non-consensual intimate content can continue circulating even after it’s removed from one platform. Reposts, screenshots, and re-uploads keep the material alive and can make it harder for anyone involved to regain control over their image.
And there’s a third risk that’s easy to miss: amplifying misinformation. If the “leak” is false, every additional view, share, or embed can harm a person’s reputation and encourage further fabrication.
