Look, Divorced I Married the Godfather is not a good movie. It is, however, a spectacularly entertaining bad movie. It’s the kind of film you throw on at a party after three glasses of wine, and suddenly everyone is screaming at the TV. You’ll laugh at the dramatic pauses, the one saxophone that plays every time the Godfather walks into a room, and the way the lady’s ex-husband shows up at the end to be dramatically chased away by a goose. Yes, a goose. I am not making that up.
It also teaches us a valuable lesson: Sometimes, the best way to get over a divorce is to marry a guy who intimidates the HOA. But really, the only truth here is that cinema is alive and well—especially if you lower your standards to sea level. So go ahead, press play. Your brain might hurt, but your funny bone will thank you.
