Look, Devon Valley Holiday Village isn’t trying to be trendy. It’s not a glamping dome with a hot tub and a podcast theme. It’s a family-friendly muddle of chalets, laughter, and slightly damp towels. And that’s its charm.
You know that feeling when you’re on holiday and you stop worrying? Like, the adult brain finally shuts up for a minute? It happens here. You’ll be sitting on a plastic chair outside your chalet, watching a seagull steal someone’s crisp, and you’ll think, “This is it. This is the life.”
Is it perfect? God, no. The Wi-Fi is dodgy. The shower pressure is a gamble. And if you’re next to the family with the screaming toddler at 6 a.m., you’ll question all your life choices. But that’s holidays, innit? Imperfect and lovely.

The Real MVP: Teignmouth
You can’t stay here without a trip to Teignmouth itself. It’s a proper seaside town. Piers, arcades, fish and chips that smell like heaven. Walk the beach, ride the miniature railway, or just stare at the sea until your soul resets. Do it.
The Teignmouth to Shaldon ferry is a must. It’s a tiny boat. It costs pocket change. And the views from the water are obscene. You’ll feel like you’re in a tourism commercial. Just don’t drop your phone in the estuary. Trust me on that.
And if it rains? (Spoiler: it will, because Devon.) Don’t panic. The holiday village has an indoor pool and a games room. Or you can drive ten minutes to Babbacombe Model Village. It’s tiny worlds in miniature, and it’s weirdly addictive. You’ll spend an hour looking at tiny gnomes and feeling very tall.
