Sandra Rodriguez Barron
Sandra Rodriguez Barron is the author of two novels from HarperCollins—Stay with Me (one of Latina Magazine’s Top Five Books of 2010) and The Heiress of Water, winner of 2007 International Latino Book Award for debut fiction, which has been translated internationally.
She was born in Puerto Rico and has lived in El Salvador and the Dominican Republic. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Florida International University and is the recipient of literary grants from the Greater Hartford Arts Council, the Connecticut Commission on Arts and Tourism, and the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture. She has five grown step-children and a son who is 7.
