For nearly 15 years, Letisha has written about women’s and children’s issues, education, health, body image, mental wellness, pregnancy, parenting, pop culture, politics, love, sex, race relations and the Afro-Latina experience—con sabor y cara. Her online byline can be found on Mamiverse, iVillage, Las Fabulosas and more. And as a content strategist, she’s made her imprint on websites such as WhatToExpect, YourTango, Momtourage, ParentsConnect, MomsLikeMe, DealChicken and TV-One. A former executive editor of Latina magazine, Letisha is also a noted entertainment journalist, with features published in such magazines as Latina, OneWorld, Honey, The Source, Vibe, Vixen, Tu Vida, Star and the debut of Cosmo Latina. Letisha is also the author of Livin’ La Vida Loca: The Unauthorized Biography of Ricky Martin (HarperCollins 1999), and a contributing author to the anthology, Border-Line Personalities: A New Generation of Latinas Dish on Sex, Sass and Cultural Shifting (Rayo 2004).

Of Puerto Rican/Black Dominican heritage, Letisha was raised as a first-generation American Latina in Southern California and is a graduate of Pepperdine University. After spending a summer studying in Madrid and seven months living in Gaeta, Italy, she re-established her Nuyorican roots for the second half of her life, and has recently relocated to the Metro DC area. Letisha is a proud mother to one jazzy feminine beacon of light and love, as well as one awesome, aging mutt.
