Alisa Valdes is a bestselling novelist, screenwriter, film producer and (recovering) journalist. With more than 1 million books in print in 11 languages, this New Mexico native is best known for her novel The Dirty Girls Social Club, and eight other published novels. Her new young-adult Kindred Trilogy launches from HarperCollins next year with publication of The Temptation (book one) in May. Alisa’s first memoir, Learning to Submit: How Feminism Stole My Womanhood and the Traditional Cowboy Who Helped Me Find It, will be published by Gotham Books in the spring of 2013.
